ABSTRACT

When translating English language and literature works, translators will carry out relevant translation work according to their own understanding, and try to restore and convey the original mood, emotion and theme. Translators will also pay attention to the differences between languages and make appropriate adjustments according to the cultural background of the target language, so as to maintain the style and characteristics of the original work as far as possible. In addition, translators can also selectively explain and supplement in the translation process, so that readers can better understand the connotation of the original work. In short, the translator's subjective interpretation plays an important role in the translation of English literary works, which enables the works to be effectively communicated and disseminated between different languages and cultures.
