With the rapid development of information technology, artificial intelligence has been widely used in education and teaching. This paper discusses the role of artificial intelligence in education and teaching from four aspects: improving the cognitive level of the educated, cultivating the innovative ability of the educated, improving the utilization rate of learning resources, and promoting the development of education and teaching. At the same time, combined with the practical application of intelligent robot technology, intelligent network technology, VR technology, intelligent voice service and intelligent simulation teaching system, the specific application status and future development trend of artificial intelligence in education and teaching are discussed.
