ABSTRACT

Psoriasis is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory skin disease that can develop in all ages and genders and is one of the most common clinical skin diseases. The skin lesions are based on erythema, papules and scaling and are classified as common, arthritic, erythrodermic and pustular. Chinese medicine has a unique understanding of psoriasis, both in terms of its etiology and mechanism and in terms of its treatment. This article discusses the etiology, clinical manifestations, and treatment of common psoriasis.
