ABSTRACT

In order to reform college English course, Professor Wen Qiufang proposed the foreign language teaching theory of Production-oriented Approach (POA). This theory is aimed at changing the traditional teaching method of separating learning and using as well as improving the situation of inefficient language learning. By implementing the three teaching process of motivating, enabling and assessing, this theory can effectively improve students' leaning efficiency. Under the guidance of this theory, this paper applies POA to business English teaching, taking Unit 5 Who has Messed up My Personal Account of the textbook Business English: An Integrated Course as an example.
