ABSTRACT

The introduction and dissemination of western culture has been overemphasized in English major teaching in China, while the ideological and political role of Chinese excellent culture in English major teaching has been ignored, leading to the lack of Chinese culture for students and hindering the development of students' intercultural communication ability. Taking the professional course teaching in the basic stage for English majors as an example, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the implicit ideological and political education of Chinese excellent culture in professional courses for English majors.
