Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is one of the most common personality disorders in society today. In recent decades, the study of BPD has gradually shifted from the initial early adult population to the adolescent population. Previous studies have suggested that borderline personality disorder may be highly correlated with childhood traumatic experiences, and childhood abuse and bullying will seriously affect the formation of individual personality. This paper discusses the characteristics of borderline personality in emotion, behavior, interpersonal relationship, cognition and brain abnormalities. The relationship between the clinical features of BPD and childhood trauma, as well as the treatment and prognosis of borderline personality disorder were expounded, aiming to further explore the occurrence, development and early intervention of borderline personality disorder.
