By analyzing the current social context and characteristics of the college student population, the multiple challenges faced by ideological and political education in shaping the values of college students, such as information overload, cultural diversity, and social transformation, are thoroughly examined. At the same time, the article also examines the opportunities in this process, such as the development of information technology, global communication, and cooperation.
