ABSTRACT

This paper thoroughly explores the significance of English listening and speaking instruction in university education to cultivate students' fluent communicative abilities. Through a comprehensive analysis of educational theories, teaching methods, and practical cases, the researcher proposes a holistic teaching approach aimed at enhancing students' English listening and speaking skills. The research findings clearly demonstrate that this approach contributes to students' better understanding and application of English, strengthening their communicative abilities and laying a solid foundation for future career and social success. By adopting this comprehensive teaching method, students can confidently and effectively use English in authentic contexts, fostering cross-cultural communication and enhancing overall language proficiency. This study provides practical teaching strategies to improve university English education, emphasizing the pivotal role of listening and speaking in English language learning and offering more comprehensive language support for students across different domains.
