ABSTRACT

After entering the 21st century, China's higher education has made great achievements, but also faces the dilemma of scale and quality, efficiency, and fairness. How to make the regional development of higher education to be efficient and optimized under the condition of existing higher education resources, so as to improve the quality of regional higher education, is not only the realistic requirement of unbalanced development of higher education in China, but also a strategic choice of our country's building an innovative country. This paper analyzes the reasons and contents of regional optimization of higher education and puts forward some thoughts on the development of regional higher education in China.
