ABSTRACT

The feminist movement has its roots in Western progressivism. The basic feature is the struggle for women's rights and the demand to protect and expand the rights they deserve. Feminism is currently gaining significant influence in the West and in modern China. However, the development of feminism in China has more obvious differences from the West. Chinese feminists acknowledge the existence of patriarchy, demand their own voice, and hope to express the situation and thoughts of women through writing and media communication. The ultimate goal is to achieve true equality with men, to stop being dependent on them, to stop being their toys and slaves.
