ABSTRACT

Professor Chang Zhanjie believes that metabolism-related fatty liver disease involves multiple internal organs, including the liver and gallbladder, spleen and stomach, kidney and the three jiao, and the pathological products are phlegm, dampness, turbidity, stasis and heat, and the pathomechanism is the loss of use of the liver and spleen, resulting in the interplay of phlegm and stasis, and the loss of qi regulation, resulting in the blockage of the three jiao. Under the guidance of the theory of division, elimination and drainage, we have formulated our own formulas, namely, Xie Mu Dan, Qing Mu Dan and Zuo Mu Dan, to achieve better clinical efficacy in the treatment of metabolism-related fatty liver disease.
