ABSTRACT

This article summarizes professor qiaoshuzhen's clinical experience in treating tension type headache. Professor Qiao, based on the classics and the thought of syndrome differentiation and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine, believes that the onset of tension type headache is closely related to emotion, and is most closely related to the liver, spleen and kidney. The pathological factors include wind, fire, phlegm and blood stasis. When treating headache patients, the methods of calming the liver and calming the nerves, removing phlegm and dampness, promoting blood circulation and qi circulation, calming the mind, and tonifying deficiency are flexible, providing new ideas for the treatment of tension type headache with traditional Chinese medicine.
