ABSTRACT

As of February 2022, thanks to the events of MFA Presenting Chinese Provinces to the World, as many as 21 documentaries have been pushed to audiences both at home and abroad via various communication channels. The translation quality of commentaries of the documentaries has a great impact on the establishment of the city image and promotion of the city culture. This paper will study the commentaries in documentaries of Hubei Province from the perspective of Eco-translatology theory, which will help to expand the application of the theory, provide a new reference for the translation of city image videos, and enhance the worldwide reputation of Chinese cities.
