ABSTRACT

Chinese TV dramas have a long history of distribution in Malaysia and are loved by Malaysian audiences, with channels ranging from free Chinese TV stations in the early days to private pay-TV stations, all of which have experienced success. With the advent of the rise of online platforms such as Youtube, the distribution of Chinese TV dramas in Malaysia has entered a new era.
