ABSTRACT

There are many forms of modern Chinese painting, among which figure painting is the most representative one. Sketching is of great significance in this process. The color of figure painting, the characteristics of theme creation and the expression of background intention are all applied to the creation of modern Chinese painting figure, which is the main content of the continuous development and change of modern society. This paper starts with the characteristics and contents of modern Chinese painting figure creation, and discusses how to make sketching play a significant role in modern Chinese painting figure creation.
