High entropy alloy is a new type of alloy with good comprehensive properties. This paper reviews the common preparation methods of high entropy alloy coating, and the research status of high entropy alloy coating prepared by laser cladding in terms of hardness, wear, corrosion and oxidation resistance, high temperature softening resistance, etc., and points out the existing problems and development prospects for high entropy alloy coating prepared by laser cladding.
