ABSTRACT

Perimenopausal syndrome is a physiological and psychological syndrome induced by declining ovarian function and fluctuations in sex hormones during the transition from the reproductive period to menopause, which severely affects women's physical health. Traditional Chinese Medicine has unique advantages in treating this condition, as it can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms, delay disease progression, and reduce side effects associated with Western medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine adheres to the principles of holistic concept and syndrome differentiation. This paper selects classical prescriptions and empirical prescriptions from Traditional Chinese Medicine compounds. This approach reviews classical and empirical prescripyions. Their multi-target and multi-pathway mechanism of action provides a favorable option for managing this condition.
