ABSTRACT
The cultural industries represented by most cities are very mature and developing rapidly in the direction of scale and specialization. In order to further create the cultural atmosphere in cities, it is necessary to effectively use the advantages of digital media art design. The appearance of digital media art has also created a brand-new development space for the construction of modern public art, and gradually derived a brand-new art form, which is the so-called digital media public art. The same is true of urban culture, which is the sum of spiritual wealth created by urban residents' long-term common life, the cultural product accumulated after a city has experienced various historical storms, and the concrete manifestation of its brand characteristics different from other cities.This drawback inevitably leads to artists giving more weight to personal consciousness expression than to the expression of urban culture and residents' feelings, lacking attention to public interests and urban environmental protection. Fully showcase the cultural characteristics, folk culture, science and technology of the city, and enrich the urban cultural and creative industries. This article mainly discusses and analyzes the impact of public art on digital media performance planning and urban cultural atmosphere creation.
