Optimization of College English Reading Teaching Mode Based on Situational Simulation Instructional Method

ABSTRACT

Language learning is different from other disciplines. English plays an important role in students' learning. In addition, language learning is highly dependent on the environment, especially English reading. Therefore, it is need to change the past instructional mode of English reading, enrich students' reading knowledge through modern media and other means, and optimize the instructional mode of English reading in universities. Firstly, this paper points out the shortcomings of traditional instructional mode. Then, combined with the necessity and importance of the optimization of college English reading instructional mode, the optimization strategy of college English reading instructional mode should be analyzed. Finally, from the perspective of scenario simulation teaching, the application of scenario simulation teaching in college students' English classroom reading is analyzed. The analysis shows that scenario simulation teaching can immerse students in the English language environment, and create interesting scenarios to enhance students' interest in English learning, thus contributing to the improvement of students' enthusiasm for English learning. In order to provide some reference for educators.
