ABSTRACT
This study has employed WordSmith Tools Version 8.0 to investigate how Huawei, a well-known Chinese corporation, is represented in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) media from a corpus-based critical discourse analysis perspective. The research shows that Huawei is positively constructed in most cases in the GCC mainstream English newspapers. That is, Huawei is a global leader in the field of communication and information technology, new technology, mobile phone market, wireless services, smart city innovation and 5G network. However, the image of Huawei has been sometimes distorted in the GCC mainstream English newspapers.
