ABSTRACT
The urbanization process rose rapidly since the Reform and Opening up policy of China. With the increased construction land almost up to the limit, the key of urban planning and development turns to the stock construction land. To that end, the government is paying more attention to the fusion of historical cultural heritage and the development of city, especially metropolis. This paper is based on literature research, supplemented with the survey of local resident of Huis’ Street to describe the advantage of fusion and the problems Xi’an are facing, in order to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the buildings on the Huis’ Street, to finally comment on the present situation of cultural heritage and urban development in Xi’an.
