ABSTRACT

Today, with the rapid development of digital media technology, while people enjoy the convenience brought by social media, online rumors attached to social media are also harming people's lives. Rumors are a common occurrence in human history. In today's high-speed flow of information, network rumors have more robust propagation and destructive power. The interaction and sociality of social media provide channels for people to vent their emotions and provide space for rumors to breed. Network rumors will bring political, economic, and social harm that is very serious. Combating rumors requires the concerted efforts of citizens, media organizations, governments, and societies worldwide.
