ABSTRACT

Zhengzhou city is a transportation hub and a regional central city in China. Since the reform and opening up, Zhengzhou has developed rapidly, and its main development direction has also undergone different degrees of change. In recent years, with the development of Zhengdong New Area, Aviation Port Area and Metropolitan Area, the urban spatial structure has undergone great changes. This work presented the urban development process, the evolution stage of spatial structure and the applied planning theory reflected in this process, and proposed the suggestions for the future urban development planning.
