ABSTRACT
Art education is the main channel to improve the sound personality and aesthetic ability of art students in normal universities, and also a significant way to promote all-round development of their comprehensive quality. Therefore, based on visual culture context, this paper clarifies the evolution of art education and teaching strategies, explores the basic functions and characteristics of art education in normal universities in the context of visual culture, and further identifies the main problems and demands in art education and puts forward the specific paths for art education in normal universities.
