ABSTRACT

This essay mainly focuses on investigating the inequality of Chinese tertiary education entrance examination system due to regional differences. As students in rural areas have fewer chances to enter elite universities compared with those in metropolitan cities due to some specific reasons. Therefore, it influences the career prospects of those students from rural areas like Henan and Gansu, which will make the regional economic growth gap between different provinces even more serious as fewer rural-area-students’ productivity can be improved through tertiary education. This issue has far-reaching influences on the whole economic condition of China and should be solved as soon as possible.
