ABSTRACT
Using DEA-Malmquist model, this paper evaluates the scientific research and innovation efficiency of Double First-Class Universities in China from 2009 to 2017. The results show that there is still room for improvement in the comprehensive technical efficiency of the National Double First-Class Universities from 2009 to 2017, and the average number of universities with increasing scale efficiency basically reaches 1/4 of the total number of universities. The fluctuation of comprehensive technical efficiency, technical progress and total factor productivity is relatively large, and it is not stable on the whole.
