ABSTRACT

With the upgrading of the art theory to a first-class discipline a few years ago, the controversy also arises. Some scholars have an opinion that the art theory is not qualified as a first-class discipline. Since 2011, the theory of art history has made great progress and established its position as a first-class discipline. However, in the process of development, there are still some problems. Some scholars believe that there are some problems in the theory of art, such as "the name does not match the reality".
