ABSTRACT

With the globalization and the continuous development of the Internet, there are more and more channels for people to obtain information. In order to publicize school information, attract overseas talents, and expand foreign exchanges and cooperation, many domestic universities have set up their own English pages. By translating the web pages of famous foreign universities, it can help to build the English version of the web pages of domestic universities, and also help domestic scholars and students to apply for studying abroad, as well as the cooperation between schools. This paper discusses in detail the web page translation of six famous foreign universities, including Harvard University, Cambridge University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oxford University, Stanford University and Edinburgh University. Under the guidance of certain translation theories, some translation methods, skills and experiences are discussed by using some examples in the process of translation.
