ABSTRACT

In this paper, the theory of digital capability reveals the impact path of digital capability on innovation performance from the perspective of digital orientation. The empirical data of Chinese enterprises are used to analyze the results. The results show that: digital capabilities help promote enterprise innovation performance; Digital capability can promote innovation performance by improving digital orientation; Competition intensity plays a positive regulatory role between digital orientation and enterprise innovation performance, and environmental uncertainty weakens the role of digital capability on enterprise innovation performance. Taking digital orientation as the key path, this study reveals the mechanism of digital capability on innovation performance improvement. The research results help to open the black box of the mechanism of digital capability on innovation performance improvement.
