Actively promoting the development of trade at the land ports of the China-Myanmar border holds significant importance for the construction of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor and achieving development in the process of economic globalization and regionalization. Currently, there are issues with the trade operation at the Houqiao Port in Tengchong, such as a single trade commodity structure, weak port infrastructure, inefficient international logistics channels, and inadequate policies, which have hindered the full realization of the port's potential. To seize development opportunities and promote the development of intra-regional trade and investment within the port area, it is necessary to accelerate the construction of cross-border economic cooperation zones, innovate trade cooperation methods, optimize the structure of traded goods, strengthen port infrastructure and improve the management system of port logistics.
