ABSTRACT

Osteoarthritis of the knee is a common chronic joint disease in clinical practice. The disease is common in middle-aged and elderly people, and patients are often accompanied by pain and discomfort, activity limitation, and in severe cases, even deformity of the knee joint, which seriously reduces the quality of life of patients and causes great pain to them. In recent years, the incidence of osteoarthritis of the knee has increased with the improvement of living conditions and lifestyle changes, and the increase in life expectancy. This paper reviews the clinical research progress of Chinese and Western medicine treatment of knee osteoarthritis at this stage.
