The precise funding of college students is an important area in which higher education reflects the national poverty alleviation work. In order to improve the accuracy and implement the educational effect of the funding, colleges and universities should improve the effectiveness of "accuracy" based on problem solving methods. Starting from the challenges and opportunities of precision funding in the new era, analyze the "focus" issues emerging in the changing times. In view of the current problems, a series of solutions were proposed, including precise allocation of funding resources, improvement of the funding management system and funding system, expansion of social funding channels, diversification of funding effectiveness, strengthening gratitude education, guiding students to give back to the society with gratitude, and targeted support for family and school personality, to ensure that the poor students in colleges and universities can do their best to help and achieve the goal of funding education.
