ABSTRACT

In increasingly crowded cities, green space is already at a premium and the only remaining urban green space should be a valuable presence. Exposure to the natural environment, including that of urban areas, is good for human health. In urban development, people are realising the importance of the landscape to the urban environment, and indeed urban green space and the services it provides play an important role in promoting human health and urban sustainability.
