ABSTRACT

The paper collected the data of per capita disposable income and consumption expenditure of rural residents in Shandong from 2000 to 2019. Combined with Eviews, the per capita disposable income and consumption expenditure of rural residents in Shandong were analyzed and simulated. The ordinary least squares estimators was used to establish the simple linear regression model. And the validity of the model would be tested. The fitting results show that the income consumption model can explain the relationship between them well. We find that as the per capita disposable income of rural residents increases, the per capita consumption expenditure also increases. More than 99% of the change in disposable income can be explained by changes in consumer spending. This paper proposes that the consumption level can be improved by increasing the disposable income of rural residents, so as to promote the improvement and optimization of the consumption structure of rural residents and promote the healthy and sustainable development of rural economy in Shandong. At the same time, it can also provide reference for the policy making and implementation of relevant departments.
