Adolescents are in a critical period of physical and mental development, facing changes in the school environment and greater learning pressures and challenges, and past studies have found that 16.6% of junior high school students detected school maladjustment. School adjustment is important for students to achieve academic success and maintain mental health. In recent years, issues concerning students' school adaptation have attracted the attention of many scholars in China. Taking the source data of CNKI journal database as a sample, the article analyzes the research hotspots, research themes, and developmental status of school adaptation of adolescents in the past ten years in China with the help of the function of Citespace visualization software, points out the main problems existing at present, and puts forward corresponding countermeasure suggestions, which is aimed at providing reference for the relevant applied research on educational practice.
