This paper explores the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in college English writing instruction. It first explains the concept and objectives of AI-assisted college English writing teaching, analyzing its significant advantages, such as providing real-time feedback and reducing teachers' grading workload. Subsequently, it focuses on discussing the human-computer collaborative teaching practices across the three stages of writing: pre-writing, during-writing, and post-writing. The author argues that the deep integration of AI and college English writing teaching can construct a new teaching model characterized by "teacher-led instruction, student-centered learning, and technology-enabled empowerment," thereby effectively enhancing teaching efficiency and students' writing proficiency.
