In order to study the wind pressure distribution characteristics of large-span cylindrical reticulated shell structure with small rise-span ratio, the applicability of the current wind resistance code and the influence of non-Gaussian wind pressure effect, this paper takes the large-span cylindrical reticulated shell structure with a rise-span ratio of 1:6 as the research object, and carries out the wind tunnel pressure test of the rigid model. By comparing and analyzing the distribution of shape coefficient and overall force coefficient of small rise-span ratio and conventional rise-span ratio structures, the applicability of mainstream wind resistance design codes at home and abroad is analyzed, the non-Gaussian statistical characteristics of structural wind pressure are explored, and the underestimation error of extreme wind pressure under the action of non-Gaussian peak factor is quantified. The results show that the wind load distribution characteristics of the small rise-span ratio structure are different from those of the conventional structure, and there are potential safety hazards or economic deficiencies in the current code in different wind direction angle intervals. The non-Gaussian characteristics of the wind pressure of the low rise-span ratio structure are weaker than those of the conventional rise-span ratio structure, and the underestimation of the extreme wind pressure is reduced, but the wind pressure field of the structure still has significant peak and thick tail non-Gaussian characteristics. Ignoring non-gaussian will underestimate the extreme wind pressure of the structure, and even underestimate it by more than 50% at the edge of the roof. It can provide data support and theoretical basis for the wind-resistant design and specification revision of such small rise-span ratio cylindrical reticulated shell structures.
